Hi

I thought I would an e mail to let you know how Molly is getting on. She has settled in really well and certainly rules our other dog!  She is growing really fast now.
Molly has such a lovely temperament and gets on with the kids so well loving nothing more than sneaking onto their beds.

I have attached a couple of photos for you.

Many thanks again

Sarah Wallett and family.

Maisie

Maisie

Shiba Inu

Female - neutered

Adopted 12th April 2008

Dear All

We thought you might like a few pictures of Maisie at home, now she has settled in. She is loves being at home and really likes playing with our other Shiba. We have taken her to the vet on Tuesday for her second lot of jabs as requested and she had a full MOT! Everything is fine with her.

She has bonded with us well, and is now my little shadow, jumping up and down and squeaking with delight when I get back from work, even though she has been at home all day with my wife!  She is so excited to see us, and loves to come on walks with us. We have been on holiday to Dorset where we walked all over the place, but she enjoyed getting back to the flat and sleeping off her hard work!!

Thank you again for allowing her into our lives, and I hope she gets as much out of her second chance at a home life as we are getting from her, she is adorable. Thank you again.

Zack

Mastiff cross

Male

Adopted 21st April 2007

Hi

Just wanted to let you all know about our success story with Zak.

We got Zak (or Herbie as he was known then) from the RSPCA as a pup, after his mum was rescued from a place in Barnsley.  We fell in love with him immediately.  He was a bruiser and very independent.  We already had an Akita called Sky, who we knew would look after him from day one.

He settled in straight away, no nerves or worries and tried to put his stamp on who was boss.

Sky mothered him, looked after him and let him get away with murder.  He was always hanging off her tail or leg!

I have never come across such a loving dog as him.  His tail is always wagging - which can cause a few problems round the house.  It is so long that he is forever knocking things over but we wouldn't change things for the world!

The house has taken a bit of a beating as he was very mouthy growing up and even now, he has to have something in his mouth when greeting you.  It's like a comfort thing for him.

Zak is now just over 1 year old and has grown into a handsome, well mannered young man.  He has the most fantastic eyes, you could drown in them.  He loves coming on holidays with us and Sky and we are planning on taking them on a long boat this year.

I would recommend to anyone thinking about getting a dog from the RSPCA to do it.  We have never looked back!

From Adele & Steve Hall, Sky and Zak.  xx

Cheko

Cheko

W2006004

German Shepherd Dog

Male - neutered

Adopted 16th March 2007

Hi

Thought you should have an update now that Cheko has been happily adopted a year ago with his adopted 'mum' Jess.

Jess mothers him constantly and he lets her!! Patience is a real virtue, however, Cheko lives up to his cheeky self, he steals her toys when she is not looking and shows off in the surf on the beach as she is too old to play now!

Cheko has become the 'contented dog' and loves his food. They both love their walks together and even cry if one is taken out and not with the other! I think Cheko has given Jess a new life but her old age is showing through, even though she still thinks she is a puppy.

I adopted Jess 7 years ago from the Chesterfield RSPCA and now she is 14!! Both of them are certainly making the most of our fondness for dogs. They have their own bedroom, bowls, rug, towels and of course human slaves. What else would a dog ask for?

Ian and I are very grateful and feel privileged to have them. Both have had a tough previous life, especially Cheko, but now they are having the times of their lives!

Luv n licks from Cheko and Jess to all the staff at the rescue centre.

Many thanks too from Mandy Murphy and Ian Straw x

Kayel

Kayel

D2008057

Collie cross

Female - neutered

Adopted 11th April 2008

Hi

Just to let you know how Kayel is getting on.  She has settled in really well and knows when anyone of us put our shoes on she is going out for a walk.  I must say we do spoil her!
She gets better every day I cannot praise her enough, she is very well mannered and won't take anything until you tell her she can have it, even if I put it down for her.

We still have had no mess to clean up, she does ask to go out, we have got a better dog than we thought we were going to get and I would like to thank you all for your honesty advice and a lovely dog.
