Hello to all at Chesterfield RSPCA

Can you remember Mo the white Staffy who had been to and from the rescue centre a couple of times? Well he’s doing really well and to prove what a softie he is just take a look at these photo’s taken from my mobile.

He's a great dog with bags of character.  We've never had any toilet accidents, crying at night or problems getting him to learn basic commands. HIS GARDEN IS HIS GARDEN THOUGH. There are times when we think he's a cat because he stalks the birds and chases them off. He loves footballs and knuckle bones and will do anything for a treat. He has 2 kongs which we fill with his Bakers dog food and that keeps him occupied until he's emptied them, then he brings them back for more. He's put a bit of weight on due to his passion for Sunday dinners with all the trimmings.

See you all soon.

All the best

Glyn, Claire, Debz, Hayley, Dan, Matt, Ryan, Jodie and Mo!

Dear RSPCA

Thank you for finding me my new home.  I was extremely nervous at first and hid under the bed for a while until I allowed myself to be coaxed out and it has taken me a while to get used to everything.  But after 4 months I have settled in and love my new pets.  I also have a male friend - Tiger - and we are getting to know one another still.

I hardly ever sit still for photographs but she has managed to take these which aren't blurred.  The curtains were a great source of fun for climbing but I don't think she was too happy so I got the big climbing frame that you see in one of the pictures and I love to play on it and sleep on the top ledge to bask in the sun.  In the mornings when I am hungry, I tell her to get up (5.30am is an acceptable time to me) and if she doesn't, I jump on her and lick her face until she does (the weekends are the most trying).

I love all the attention I get and especially love being scratched under the chin and behind the ears.  The best times are the evenings, weekends and holidays when I curl up on the sofa next to her to snooze after playing.

Loads of love

Molly

Alaskan Malamute

Adopted 4th January 2007

Hi everyone at RSPCA

I thought I would just let you know about Malakai.  I don't think many of you can forget Malakai, he is the only Alaskan Malamute you have had in at Chesterfield RSPCA.

It has took along time for Malakai to settle in our house, he is always full of life, sometimes too eager to meet people.  But after a long time he has now settled down really well.  Malakai is a handful and is full of energy, he has that much energy we just had to get him a friend to keep him occupied, when then got BJ he is another rescue dog and it's the best thing that we could get for Malakai.

The have so much fun together, they never stop, they love playing on the back garden and they are so energetic, I am so pleased that the RSPCA gave us the opportunity to adopt Malakai, he is a very strong dog, his breed is really difficult unless you know to look after them.

I took Malakai to the RSPCA dog show, he enjoyed it very much, but he gets very excited around other dogs so we didn't stay long because he would have had too much fun, but it was nice to see everyone who remembered Malakai.

Again thank you very much for this opportunity with Malakai

Adopted 6th June 2008

Hi there

This is to let you know how Ben is getting on.  We adopted Ben (now known as Archie) on the 6th June 2008.  Archie accepted his new name straight away.  Archie was adopted as a companion for our other dog Floyd (who was also called Ben when we adopted him from the RSPCA in November 2004).  From the moment Archie came home with us he and Floyd were best buddies, enjoying long walks together, playing together in the garden and generally just been together.  Archie has also been getting on well with our two cats, which was very reassuring as he had not lived with cats before, they don't appear to be too bothered about having another dog around. He will often sit with them on the sofa or lay on the bed with them.

We couldn't have wished for a more lovable and friendly dog, he is so well behaved and fun to have around.  I have attached some photos for you, one of which is of Archie and Floyd on holiday in Scotland, which both dogs thoroughly enjoyed.

Thanks again

Julie and the rest of the Bates Family

To all my friends at Chesterfield RSPCA

Just a few words to let you know that I have settled into my new home really well.  My new family think I’m the best thing since sliced bread, so I’m holding off destroying their furniture just for now!

My new friend Jake (that’s the hairy one in the photos) is great fun, but I have to keep batting him on the head with my paw every now and then to keep him alert.  As you can see there’s loads of room to run around and play here and there’s always room on the sofa for a snooze when I get back.

Thank you all for looking after me so well and finding me a new home.

Lots of love

Max
