Domestic Short Haired

Male - neutered

Adopted 1st July 2008

Dear all at RSPCA Chesterfield

I just wanted to write and let you know how Keith is getting on with us. As you can see from the pictures he is perfectly at home and happy. Keith has been absolutely good as gold from the moment we brought him home and he has made such a wonderful addition to our household. He loves his special blanket and has taken over one of the chairs in the conservatory but always comes and sits with us when the TV is on. He is an absolute pleasure to own and the whole process of adopting him was so straightforward. Thank you so much for looking after Keith and helping us give him his new home.

Dear everyone at Chesterfield RSPCA

Just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you for looking after me whilst my new owners Liz & Alfie waited for their home visit. I have settled into my new home now and love it. It has a big garden for me to run around in and play with my new toys. I have a friend next door called Blaze. He is a big Weimaraner. We have great fun playing ‘chase' together.

We also live near some fields which is where we go for long walks. I have just started being let off the lead, which is great because I love running round the big open space.I have started to gain a bit of weight and Liz says I am filling out nicely but she won’t let me eat too much. I try and eat just about anything and things have to be moved well out of my way!

I have met just about everyone in the family now and they all think I’m gorgeous - that’s because I am! Thank you again for helping me find my new home.

Love from Mia  xxxx (and Liz, Alfie & Leanna)

Domestic Short Haired

Female - neutered

Adopted 14th August 2008

Hi everybody at Chesterfield RSPCA

I adopted Daisy (you named her Sophie) on 14th August 2008.  After only one cuddle I knew she was the cat for me - and how right I was although I'm sure divine guidance played a part!  I hoped for a companion/lap cat and that is exactly what she is.  She's with me the whole time, always talking on my lap in the evenings, watching TV (she loves Coronation St. & The Bill). She loves playing with balls and string, she can jump two feet in the air and is endlessly entertaining to me and my visitors as she is so friendly.

She loves being in the garden chasing spiders and watching butterflies - and has learned to open the door to get back in! She has settled in so well and seems very happy and contented. I can't tell you how delighted I am with her and I am so pleased that Chesterfield RSPCA took her in so that she could come to me and be the best cat in the world!

Many, many thanks

Adopted 11th October 2008

Hello I am just writing to let you know that Chelsea who we had from you in October 2008 as settled in very well. She was a little nervous with my husband at first but after a couple of days she was all over him, looking for him if he was out in the garden or if he went out.  Chelsea has a lovely nature and is like my shadow following me where ever I go.  We could not have wished for a more loving dog and want to thank the RSPCA at Chesterfield for all the help and advice they gave us.  I was very impressed and thank you for doing such wonderful work with the animals you get come in.

Collie x

Male - neutered

Adopted 23rd October 2008

We would like to thank you for giving us a chance to re-home Ben.  We adopted him on the 23rd October 2008 and he as settled in really well, in fact he has now taken over the house. Myself and my husband love him to bits and enjoy every moment with him.  He is such a character in his own way and follows us all round the house wherever we are. He loves to play and is always running off with anything that belongs to us.

Once again we thank you for letting us give this dog the loving home he deserves.

P.S The rest of the Cockroft family thank you also.
