Hi, I came across your animal success story page and thought you would like to know how our dog Harley is doing. We adopted him in February 2006 from your branch and he is a lovely dog. When we first got him he was called Rocky, but we thought this name didn't suit his cute character. We changed it to Harley (My dad's a Harley Davidson fan, can you tell?) and he adapted to it quickly because it sounded similar.

We've had him for nearly 4 years now and he's been a lovely edition to the family, we all cherish him and he has entertained us numerous times. His favourite walk is either around Linacre reservoir or Walton Golf Course where he likes to leap like Tigger around the barley field!

Last year he unfortunately got hit by a car, leaving a scar on his bum and the top of his head. He had a poorly paw for a while, but now he's fine. Half the time he thinks he's human, he stretches out on the sofa, lies on his back and sunbathes, and will cuddle up next to you if you're upset. Our family wouldn't be the same without him, we all love him to pieces.

We adopted Kira (who you called Beautiful) in Feb 2009. She settled in with us very quickly and she now thinks that we are her pets rather that the other way around. She is very loving and playful and definitely the right cat for us. She spends alot of her time asleep under the radiator or play fighting with my husband! It's definitely a match made in heaven and we wouldn't change her for the world!!

We just wanted to email you and say thank you for letting us adopt Alfie. We have had him a few months now and he is a huge part of our family we cannot remember a time when he wasn't’t with us. Even though Alfie has only 3 legs he has not let it stop him, he loves running about our garden and going on long walks. He also likes playing with our cat luna and likes lots of hugs and kisses which he gets often. He is such a lovely dog we couldn't’t wished for a better addition to our family, he is loving his new home as you can see from our picture of him relaxing on the sofa.

Dear lovely people at the pet adoption centre

just a quick e-mail to send a few photos and to say that Ringo is settling in well and getting to know his new friend Honey Bun with a mesh safely between them. He is very sweet and affectionate. They both go off to be neutered tomorrow (sorry guys, got to be done!). I'll keep you posted, but this is just to say thanks, he's a sweetie.

Hi to all at Chesterfield RSPCA

I know its been a while since I adopted Rocky, but he is getting on very well and settled in splendidly. He is quite vocal at times, he loves to wolf-whistle and chatters away for ages in a morning. He likes perching on my bald head and coming into the kitchen with me whilst up there.

He likes to come and sit on my lap and have his head and neck tickled and also has a habit of picking the keys off the keypad on my laptop. He is great company and he spends a lot of time out of the cage and getting into mischief, but all in all he is a right character.
