Hi

We adopted Merlin from you!

Merlin has been a great addition to our family and has mixed well with our puppy jess!

Merlin was put into kennels three times! why i'll never know! He is so clever and very loving.

Although merlin is totally deaf...he still manages to be able to smell food round the corner in the kitchen and comes bounding in!

He was such a puller on the lead when we first got him but now he walks right at the side of me! We taught him to give paw, and that's all he does now when he see you with food!!

MERLIN THE WIZARD IS THE BEST DOG EVER, WE LOVE HIM AND COULDN'T BE WITHOUT HIM!

THANK YOU CHESTERFIELD RSPCA

love Jodie, Rob, Jess, Merlin xx

Hi All

Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know how well Millie is doing in her new home.

The photo is of Millie in my bed - yes this is where she sleeps despite having 3 cat beds, none of which she has ever shown any interest in!!  I got her lots of toys when she arrived and very occasionally she will deign to toss her mice around for a couple of minutes.  Sometimes I think she does it on purpose - the more I want her to do something the less likely she is to do it!  As a first time cat owner her rather superior character is an absolute delight to me.  Perhaps I should have renamed her Mrs Bouquet.

When she first arrived she used to go to the conservatory door and scratch at it as if she was desperate to go out.  Of course I couldn't let her and kept her inside for a month.  I felt so guilty!  Then, as soon as she was allowed out, she spent about 20 minutes exploring the back garden, came back in and has never shown any interest in going out again.  I swear sometimes I can see her laughing at my frantic efforts to please her!

Millie loves attention.  When I'm in the house she has to be with me, sitting on my knee or climbing all over me.  Being long haired I brush her every day.  This is her favourite thing and she comes running as soon as she sees me pick up her brush.  She even rolls over on her back so I can brush her tummy!

My parents adore Millie and she goes to stay with them if ever I have to go away over night.  She loves it there as she gets double the attention and they have a woodburning stove which she lays in front of for hours.  She soon got the measure of them and has them dancing to her tune nicely.

Millie is the perfect cat for me so thank you for helping me to choose her and for looking after her so well while she was with you.  I couldn't imagine being without her now.

Much love

Ali and Millie xxxx

Hi to all our friends at Chesterfield RSPCA

I thought I would send you a quick email to let you know how we are all getting on.

I adopted Jazz the Black lab (aka Jan) in June 2007.  She is amazing, it’s as if we have never been a part.  She loves my 2 cats Daisy Duke (dark grey) and Alfie Moon (aka Catkin) the little monkey next to her who I adopted from the animal centre in 2005.

They all get on very well and tend to all sleep in the same basket in front of the fire most evenings. Jazz loves going out in the car especially to Sherwood Forest with her friends from the dog club.  She mixes very well and loves to play with other dogs. Everybody who meets her wants to take her home.

I hope you like the picture of Jazz, she loves to sit on the bench watching her Grandad in his garden whilst I’m at work!

Thanks for finding me my best friends

Katie

Hello there

Just to let you know I am settling in my new home very well and am very happy with my new Mum Julie. She is just a big softie and I now sleep on her bed and she cuddles me and I follow her all over the house. I am sending you a picture of me sprawled in my favourite place on Mum's sofa. Thank you all for looking after me so well and for helping my Mum to feel less lonely.

Lots of love

Charlie (ex Stripe) xx

P.S. I am going to my first visit to my new vet on Thursday so I hope that goes well!
