ADMINISTRATION VOLUNTEER

Why we want you

We are looking for someone who can commit to one day a week, or two half days a week, to help with some basic office administration such as filing, typing, photocopying and data entry. You will be based at the RSPCA Animal Shelter at 137 Spital Lane, Chesterfield.

What’s in it for you?

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to build up experience and confidence to return to work after a career break or for someone who has retired from working in an office and would like to spend a few hours a week in a friendly workplace putting their skills to good use.

The skills that you need

Previous office experience is preferable.

You will need to have computer experience ideally with knowledge of Microsoft Word and basic inputting into Excel spreadsheets.

Your time

Minimum commitment: A day a week or a couple of mornings or afternoons a week

Duration: Ongoing

Period: All year round

The Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Branch of the RSPCA is an independent, self funding charity. We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of the public and our local community to be able to continue our vital work. Our main aim is to take in animals in need and find them loving, permanent homes.

Your time and skills could make a real difference to our work and it would be great if you could join us. Please note that this a volunteer role and is an unpaid position.

VOLUNTEER VACANCIES

We rely on volunteers to carry out a variety of duties to help the running of the animal centre, from fundraising to dog walking, volunteers play a vital role at the animal centre and are absolutely vital for the branch to remain open and for our work to continue. Your skills and abilities could make a real difference to the animals in our care.

Once both these forms have been completed they are to be sent to the animal centre for your application to be processed.
